This project was created as part of Photography subject on my first year on the Photography Degree of ESMAD, and was developed over a semester.

This work began with a much more technical aspect than an conceptual idea. At the beginning of the production process I decided to explore the photographic technique of the panorama, but without a defined concept. Only later, already close to the final stage, among many thoughts about the different scenes captured, I came to the conclusion of what would be the "punctum" of the photographs and what would be the fuel for my project.

The common point in many of the images I had had taken so far, especially the ones I was going to select for the final series, was the distinct wear and tear on the spaces that had resulted from the effects of time and the abandonment by the people that used to use those places.

From that moment on, as I conceptualized the narrative behind the project I wanted to create, it was easier to start looking for the images I wanted that would better fit into the final series.
With a total of 11 images selected, this was one of the longest and toughest projects I've ever done, not only because of the time involved, but also because of the amount of thought that was spent behind selecting the photos for this set.
